For 35 years Ingwe has been suppling the Australian Fashion Industry with quality trims and accessories. Not bad for a business that started from one conversation with one designer about one button! (Check out the About section on our home page if you really want to know more).
For the first 20 of those years of our existence, the web didn't really exist so, it might be fair to say that, we're "fashionably late" to the digital party!
Some things change and some things stay the same.
Change is not necessarily progress.
Fashion changes but style endures.
I think we'll look back on 2019 and recognise that this was the year that "sustainable fashion" became front and centre for many of us in the decisions we make in our industry. As Ingwe started a new venture in Ingwe Sustainable Products, some might even say we are slow to this party too. The reality is though, that we have been providing sustainable products for over 20 years. Mother of pearl buttons that are repurposed from mussel shells is a great way to recycle waste and we've been doing this before we even knew it was going to be hip!
